Toppila Meri-Villa's

Meri-Villas is a collection of 12 detached homes set in the coastal environment of Ranta-Toppila in Oulu. The gable-roofed, timber-clad houses draw from the character of traditional boathouses, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. The façades range from deep red to black, creating a distinctive composition that sits naturally within the Nordic landscape. The interior design is organised to open the main living spaces towards the sea, with large glazed surfaces and rooftop terraces bringing views of the harbour and evening sun into everyday life. The central urban location combined with immediate proximity to the sea makes this a rare form of detached living.
