Tervahovi Silos

As part of the regeneration of the Toppilansalmi area, the former silo building was converted into a loft-style residential apartment building. The change of use required the partial demolition of the silo structure and the reorganisation of the frame, intermediate floors and building services to meet modern housing and energy efficiency requirements. The new load-bearing structure enabled spacious, high apartments and larger openings, while maintaining the industrial massing of the building as part of the Toppilansalmi cityscape.
