Sauna Käpylä

Sauna Käpylä complements the grounds of a culturally significant 19th century villa on the waterfront. The gable roofed building is carefully integrated into the wooded sloping site, where large glazed surfaces open the sauna lounge, terraces and living spaces directly towards the sea. Light timber surfaces, a restrained material palette and carefully framed views strengthen the connection to the surrounding landscape, while the sauna and its associated spaces form a calm retreat.
