The recognizable shape of the old sulfur warehouse has been transformed into a lantern-like shell, inside which a versatile hybrid building is being built. The building brings together housing for different ages, care, early childhood education, welfare services and commercial premises. New openings and courtyards located on different levels bring light and rhythm to the building mass and open up layered views throughout the building. The upper floors offer views of the sea, making the whole part of the open urban landscape of Toppilansalmi.
